A sample of how the Bible is structured:

Each book of the Bible contains an index, which are links to what I feel are major or interesting topics in that particular book. It's located just under the title, (using Genesis as an example). The indexes, (or links), are in chronological order of the book, so by just reading them alone, gives one a fairly good outline of the Bible.  The return to top floating link at the bottom left is on each book. You may find it helpful. Under that are the verses, Strong's definitions, references, and notes. Clicking on Sample 1 or Sample 2 will take you immediately to a demonstration below, or just scroll down for a look see .

Genesis

Index located here.

First is the verse, Gen 1:1.

Second is a Strong's definition in the indented section. Note the number [1] in Gen 1:1 at the end of the word beginning[1]. It corresponds to the 1 "BEGINNING": in the indented Strong's section, which contains the definition or definitions. Some words have several meanings. I included them all and in most cases I underline or make bold the ones I feel best fits the subject.

Third is a verse reference in the indented section. In this case it's Heb 11:3.

Fourth is a comment in the indented section, which will be in italics.

Fifth is the next verse, Gen 1:2.

The hi-lighted portion below is not part of the indented section. I've just added it here to help clarify.

Sample 1

Gen 1:1 In the beginning[1] God created the heaven and the earth.

1 "BEGINNING": 7225. re'shiyth, ray-sheeth'; from the same as H7218; the first, in place, time, order or rank (spec. a firstfruit):--beginning, chief (-est), first (-fruits, part, time), principal thing.   { This is a Strong's definition.}

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.   {This is a Bible verse inserted. Heb 11:3.}

Notice : The first verse just states, (in the beginning), it doesn't indicate how long ago that was.   {This is a comment. It will be in italics.}

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Sample 2

The verse reference section and the comment section in some places will be structured like below.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning[1] God created the heaven and the earth.

1 "BEGINNING": 7225. re'shiyth, ray-sheeth'; from the same as H7218; the first, in place, time, order or rank (spec. a firstfruit):--beginning, chief (-est), first (-fruits, part, time), principal thing.   { This is a Strong's definition.}

Notice : The first verse just states, (in the beginning), it doesn't indicate how long ago that was.   {This is a comment. It will be in italics.}

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.   {This is a Bible verse inserted. Heb 11:3.}

Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
