End Time Medications

What is one of the biggest
problems in the world today? Drugs. Whether legal or
illegal. And by today, I mean the early 21st. century, (2009).
I'm not going to get into the financial aspect of it. We all
know it's astronomical. We also know the mind-bending affects,
lots of these drugs can have on an individual. The addiction to
some of these narcotics are horrible and sometimes very tragic.
Abuse of
prescription drugs, certainly by the user, and don't forget the
one doing the prescribing, leads some to a very tragic end.
Does God's Word have
anything to say about these things? Yes It does. This is going
to be a very short Bible Study, but one I hope you'll find
interesting.
Here we're in the ninth
chapter of Revelation. The sixth trumpet has sounded. An army of
horsemen numbering two hundred million, (that's 200,000,000),
with fire, smoke, and brimstone, coming from their mouths. The
end is almost here and what are people doing? Or maybe I should
say what are people not doing? There's an old saying,
"Habits are hard to break." Well, addictions are even harder
to break and Satan knows that.
Rev 9:21 Neither repented they of
their murders, nor of their
sorceries[1], nor of their fornication,
nor of their thefts.
1
"SORCERIES": 5331. pharmakeia, far-mak-i'-ah; from
G5332;
medication ("pharmacy"), i.e. (by extens.) magic (lit.
or fig.):--sorcery, witchcraft.
5332.
pharmakeus, far-mak-yoos'; from pharmakon (a drug, i.e. spell-giving
potion); a druggist ("pharmacist") or
poisoner,
i.e. (by extens.) a magician:--sorcerer.
Think of today, the
21st. century, and the drug problems, both legal and
illegal.
Now here we are in the
18th. chapter of Revelation and that Satanic system called
Mystery Babylon is about to be destroyed. I mean it's
at hand! The end is here!
And it tells of one of the methods, Satan used in order to
deceive the whole world.
Rev 18:23 And the light of a
candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the
bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee:
for thy merchants were the great men of the earth;
for by thy
sorceries[1] were all nations deceived.

Again, Think of today, the

Did Jesus give us a
demonstration as how to handle drugs on a personal basis? He
sure did? At His crucifixion.
Mat 27:26 Then released he
Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged[1] Jesus, he
delivered him to be crucified.
1
"SCOURGED": 5417. phragelloo, frag-el-lo'-o; from a
presumed equiv. of the Lat. flagellum; to whip, i.e. lash
as a public punishment:--scourge.
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded
for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we
are healed.
Read Isaiah 52 and 53 to
see just how bad the beating of Jesus was.
Mat 27:33 And when they were come
unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
Mat 27:34 They gave him vinegar to
drink mingled with gall[1]: and when he had tasted thereof,
he would not drink.
1
"GALL": 5521. chole, khol-ay'; fem. of an equiv. perh.
akin to the same as G5514 (from the greenish hue); "gall" or
bile, i.e. (by anal.) poison or an anodyne (wormwood,
poppy, etc.):--gall. .......
Drugs.
Do a good study on the
poppy seed. You'll find it's still in very much use today. Both
in a good way and a bad way. A very powerful narcotic.
It was prophesied this
would be done:
Psa 69:21 They gave me also
gall for my meat; and in my
thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Mat 27:35 And they crucified
him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my
garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
Psa 22:18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots
upon my vesture.
Mat 27:36 And sitting down they
watched him there;
Now see what Jesus does
when He's offered vinegar to drink without the drugs,
(medications, pain killers, etc.).
Mat 27:46 And about the ninth hour
Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say,
My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?
Mat 27:47 Some of them that stood
there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth
for Elias.
Mat 27:48 And straightway one
of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar,
and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
Remember, It was prophesied
this would be done:
Psa 69:21 They gave me also
gall for my meat; and
in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Mat 27:49 The rest said, Let be,
let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
Mat 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried
again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
I kinda like John's version
where it leaves no doubt that Jesus did drink the vinegar which
had no gall, (drugs, pain killers, etc).
John 19:28 After this, Jesus
knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture
might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
John 19:29 Now there was set a
vessel full of vinegar:
and they filled a sponge with vinegar,
and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.
John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar,
he said, It is finished: and he
bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
In Isaiah 52 and 53 it
describes how Jesus was beaten. It was horrible. Imagine the
pain and suffering of that, along with hanging on the cross.
Being nailed to it. There for six, (6), hours. Not even
wanting as much as an aspirin tablet.
Now I know that when used
in the proper fashion, drugs are very helpful. It appears to
have far reaching affects to the soul as well as the body.
Thanks, for allowing me, to share this with you. Remember, to
always,
study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun
profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more
ungodliness.
In His Word,
