Satan Worship

Would you worship Satan? What is Satan worship? You might be surprised. What does Satan want? He wants to be worshiped as God. He wants to reign Supreme in all eternity. So you will know just what kind of character we will be dealing with, let's look at at a few scriptures. Satan even had the gall to try to get God Himself to worship him. Even tried to bribe God. You want me to document that. Let's allow God's word to do it. First let's document that Jesus was God in the Flesh.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Now, just when and where did Satan try this number on God, (Jesus)? After Jesus was baptized by John, He straightway went into the wilderness for forty days to face the Tempter, (the Devil).

Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mat 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

I have taken the first part of this incident in the wilderness from Matthew and the rest of it from Luke. The reason for this is, what was stated in Luke 4:13, was not stated in Matthew.

Luke 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

Luke 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

Luke 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Luke 4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Luke 4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

Luke 4:10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

Luke 4:11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Luke 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. (Don't forget this verse)

The above verses, I believe show that God in the flesh, (Jesus) demonstrated to us how to defeat Satan when he comes your way, In the name of Jesus of course. God, in the flesh, after purposely put himself in a state of starvation, (a physical state of weakness), for two reasons that I can think of. One is to show us that He, (God), is willing to go through anything that He expects of man. Two, I think so he could have an eye ball to eye ball, one on one, looking Satan in the eye, saying, give it your best shot pretty boy. Satan, (the Devil), as stated in Luke 4:5 through 7 offered to give to God, who made it all, owns it all, and created Satan himself, offered to give Him, all the wealth and possessions that he had, or has, accumulated. The kingdoms of the world, the power of it, and the glory of them. All God had to do was worship Satan. Just think about the gall this character has. Insulting the intelligence of the One and Only Almighty God of the universe. Satan will come at you with a similar deal. In the above verse Luke 4:11, I have put in bold type the words. at any time. Satan was quoting scripture to Jesus, (God in the flesh), these are the three words that he added to the scripture. Let's look at those scriptures.

Psa 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Psa 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Psa 91:13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Compare Luke 4:10 to Psalms 91:11. Satan left off the words (in all thy ways). Compare Luke 4:11 to Psalms 91:12. Here he added the words, three little words, the three little words, at any time. Wonder why he did that. Does those three little words sound familiar to you? They should. That is what is taught in some, if not most Christian churches today. The any moment doctrine, Jesus could come at any time. Well, not before Satan. We'll have God's word document that to, a little later. But for now back to this meeting in the wilderness. Note Psalms 91:13. Satan didn't quote that scripture. You want to know why? Because it tells of his demise. Do you know what an adder is? A serpent. That's one of Satan's names. The dragon, another one of his names.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Really, -- nice, -- friendly bunch. This is who we have to deal with, when he shows up. I should include the angels to. But just knowing that, makes you a winner. You see, just as Jesus, (God in the flesh), didn't find him tempting, neither will you.

Just how will Satan and his angels act when they get here?

2 Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed[1] into an angel of light.

2 Cor 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Satan knows he has but a short time. See Rev. 12:12. Deception is his game, and how does one deceive? Act like something you are not, but give as much of the truth as possible without revealing your real plan. It will be the greatest religious event in world history. Satan and his angels will probably be the most sugar sweet super preachers and teacher of all time. We have had some doozies already, but just wait, You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. A good friend of mine wrote a song by that name. It's not about Satan but about Heaven. Unlike Satan, his song has a good message.

You think this character isn't smart? Don't know how to run the economy? Doesn't have lots of wisdom? Some homely looking character? Let's go to Ezekiel 28.

Ezek 28:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

Ezek 28:2 Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

Smart

Ezek 28:3 Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

Wisdom

Ezek 28:4 With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:

Economy

Ezek 28:5 By thy great wisdom and by thy traffic hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:

Prideful

Ezek 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

Ezek 28:7 Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

Ezek 28:8 They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.

Ezek 28:9 Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.

Ezek 28:10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezek 28:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Ezek 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Ezek 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Ezek 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth[1]; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Ezek 28:15 Thou wast perfect[1] in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Economy again

Ezek 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Homely looking?

Ezek 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness[1]: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

His demise and why

Ezek 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Ezek 28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Satan comes before Christ

2 Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition[1];

I want to insert the a verse here Revelation 9:11.

Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon[1], but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon[2].

Note in 2 Th. 2:3, the word perdition is Greek no. 684, and it is derived from Greek no. 622, and in revelation 9:11 the king of the bottomless pit's name is Apollyon. Greek no. 623, meaning Satan. It is also of the Greek no. 622, meaning to fully perish. Both words, (Perdition and Apollyon), come from the same word. The son of perdition is Satan himself, and he comes before Christ. The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto him. It shall not happen till after the son of perdition ,(Satan) is revealed.

Rev 17:11 And the beast[1] that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

What beast is venomous (poisones). The serpent. One of Satan's names. He is the only (named), son of God, that has been sentenced to die.

2 Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Where else is it written in God's word that Satan will exalt (try to) exalt himself? Lucifer is one of Satan's names to.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

2 Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

2 Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

2 Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2 Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2 Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

The Him in the above verse is Jesus, and He comes after the working of Satan. What workings of Satan? Satan will really put on a show. Remember he wants to reign Supreme and be God.

Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

Who in the Bible has made fire come down from Heaven, other that God? The Bible is full of truth and holds this information.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Job 1:13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house:

Job 1:14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:

Job 1:15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

Note Satan had to get permission from God in order to do these things to Job. God did not bring the fire down from heaven. Satan did. Naturally those who were witness to this, thought it came from God, so that is how it was reported to Job.

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance[1] of her delicacies.

Remember Ezekiel 28. Satan really knows the economy. The word abundance. Look at it's meaning.

1. "ABUNDANCE": 1411. dunamis, doo'-nam-is; from G1410; force (lit. or fig.); spec. miraculous power (usually by impl. a miracle itself):--ability, abundance, meaning, might (-ily, -y, -y deed), (worker of) miracle (-s), power, strength, violence, mighty (wonderful) work.

Everything for everybody.

Satan is imitating who? Jesus Christ. Expect miracles similar in nature as Christ did while in the flesh. Most Christians who study the Bible, I believe think that Revelation 13:11 is concerning the antichrist. A particular antichrist. The Antichrist. It seems a lot of them think it is some mere man whom Satan has taken over. I hear people say. Prepare yourself, Jesus is coming. We had better prepare ourselves, Satan is coming.

Just remember what is going to happen to him.

Dan 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
Dan 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

He finally gets his. Don't worship a dead man.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist[1] shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

I believe John is talking about a particular antichrist. The antichrist, singular. A mere man can in no way perform the miracles this character can. He is supernatural. This is too big a role for the Devil to have someone to do for him. Just as Satan did at the last supper. I told you near the first of this study, don't forget this verse. This is why. I'm going to insert that part to jog your memory.

Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. (Don't forget this verse).

John 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

This was another job that Satan did himself. Too important for it to fail. He has always been around trying to overthrow God.  While Jesus was here, tried to bribe him in the wilderness, when all else failed, Satan had Jesus crucified. See Geneses 3:15. Remember Satan wants to be God.

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The first prophecy of Jesus in the Bible. His feet being nailed to the cross.

Who is Satan coming for?

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I think the verse is self explanatory. Don't you? Satan wants to convert you to his way. He actually thinks his ways are superior to God. Better for everybody.

Has anybody who loves God ever worship a supernatural being?

In the next two verses, John of the book of Revelation, attempts to worship an angel. I figure John must have thought it was Christ. John was a devout Christian, yet had it not been for the angel telling him not to do it, he would have.

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Rev 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which showed me these things.

Rev 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

No doubt it is an awesome thing to be in the presence of an angel. Read of how it affected Daniel and others. I'm sure this was likewise for John. When Satan is kicked out of Heaven, we will be in his presence, and the presence of his angels. We must be aware of this in advance, so that it wont be tempting to us. Make sure you do not fall, in that hour of temptation, spoken of in Revelation 3:10.  After  Moses was in the presence of God, no one could bear to look upon his face, they were so afraid. See Exodus. Start at 34:30. Expect something similar from Satan. Knowing that Satan arrives before Jesus, is how you escape the hour of temptation.

In my opinion, no Christian would be involved in Satan worship, unless he or she thought it was Christ. Remember there is one coming pretending to be Christ. Performing genuine miracles, being all things to all people, and who is he coming for? Those that keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:17. He will offer you every thing he possibly can. Like most Christians I believe we are in the generation which this will take place.

When I started this study I asked. Would you worship Satan? I ask you now. Will You, worship Satan?
