What Lie?
2 Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion[1], that
they should believe a lie[2]:
And for this cause, (people following Satan) will God send STRONG
DELUSION. Note the Greek meaning of the word delusion. Trace the word
delusion to it's prime. God is going to allow those, who have not studied to show
themselves approved, to fall for Satan's lies, when he appears on the earth, after
Michael boots him, and his angels, from Heaven. See Rev 12:9. Note delusion. One of
the meanings is an impostor or misleader:--deceiver. [1] 4106. plane, plan'-ay; fem. of G4108 (as abstr.);
obj. fraudulence; subj. a straying from orthodoxy or piety:--deceit, to deceive,
delusion, error.
4108. planos, plan'-os; of uncert. affin.; roving (as a tramp), i.e. (by impl.)
an
impostor or misleader:--deceiver, seducing.
[2] 5579. pseudos, psyoo'-dos; from G5574; a falsehood:--lie, lying.
5574. pseudomai, psyoo'-dom-ahee; mid. of an appar. prim. verb; to utter an untruth
or attempt to deceive by falsehood:--falsely, lie.
What lie? The (at any time) lie. Commonly called the
pretribulation rapture. Jesus, returning secretly to take his people out of this
sinful world. Most who
believe this doctrine simply misinterpret First Thessalonians chapter four, verses
sixteen and seventeen. Of course they will say that I and others that believe as I
do, regarding those two scriptures are misinterpreting them. Just when did this (at any time)
stuff first appear? Some say it was started by a woman named Margaret McDonald, in
the year 1830. I agree with the documentary, (The Incredible Cover-up), written by
Mr. Dave MacPherson, but, it is mentioned twice in God's word. Both places is talking
about the same event. The Devil is talking to Jesus in the wilderness, trying to get
Jesus, (God in the flesh), to worship him. He is quoting the Bible to Jesus. The
three words, (at any time), Satan added to that scripture. Making it a lie. One
doesn't have to change the truth too much, to turn it into a lie. Was this a slip of
the tongue by Satan? Giving away, (to the wise), the main thrust of his mode of
operation, just before the end of this earth age? As I state at the start of each of
these studys, the words in italics are my comments. I certainly think it's
something to consider.
Mat 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God,
cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:
and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time
thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Luke 4:11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy
foot against a stone.
Always remember this next verse.
John 8:44 Ye are of your
father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the
beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Always remember who Satan is after. The
next verse tells us.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman,
and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God,
and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
God told Adam Gen 2:17 But of the tree[1] of the knowledge of good
and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt
surely die.
[1] 6086. 'ets, ates; from H6095; a tree (from its
firmness); hence wood (plur. sticks):-- + carpenter, gallows, helve, + pine, plank,
staff, stalk, stick, stock, timber, tree, wood.
6095. 'atsah, aw-tsaw'; a prim. root; prop. to fasten (or make firm), i.e. to
close (the eyes):--shut. Remember
this. To close the eyes shut. Some of
Satan's lies.
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast
of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God
said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
- - - Lie.
If we consider one thousand years is as one day
with God, Adam and Eve did die on the same day they partook of the tree of knowledge
of good and evil. Adam lived nine hundred and thirty years. Check out Second Peter
chapter three, verse eight, for verification of one thousand years, is as one day
with God..
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then
your eyes shall be
opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. -
- - Lie.
I told you to remember something. To
close the eyes shut. See what a liar, Satan is.
Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the
Spirit into the wilderness,
Luke 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing:
and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
Luke 4:3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that
it be made bread.
Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word of God.
Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all the
kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
Luke 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of
them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
Luke 4:7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is
written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Luke 4:9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and
said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
Luke 4:10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
- - - Lie. Psalms 91:11. "to keep thee in all thy ways".
Luke 4:11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy
foot against a stone. - - - Lie. Added at any time.
Luke 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord
thy God.
Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a
season.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the
body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord
rebuke thee.
Wonder what Satan was up to do here?
Let's look
at some verses that some people use in defense of the (at any time) doctrine.
Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in
the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall
be taken, and the other left. Luke 17:34
I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the
one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
The pre-trib believers usually state that the
ones taken are taken by Jesus at his coming.
2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that
day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
There are even some who claim that the
falling away, is the pre-trib rapture. The next verse, some claim, is the
church being taken out. By Christ of course.
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was
opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking
with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be
hereafter.
The next two verses are the biggies of their
argument.
1 Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the
dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in
the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Let's look at each one of those verses very
carefully.
Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in
the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall
be taken, and the other left.
Let's read the text just prior to the two above
verses.
Mat 24:36 But of
that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the
coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other
left.
Mat 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Note, the flood came and took them all away. Who
is them? Not Noah and his family. The ones taken away, were the ones that knew not.
In the end time the first ones taken, are taken by Satan. Another thing to note, is that God used the
same source, to destroy and to save. Some taken by the water, and some saved by the
water.
Rev 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that
he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
What comes out of someone's mouth? Not water.
In this case, a flood of lies. Always remember who Satan is after.
The next verse tells us.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman,
and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God,
and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
His weapons in this war will be sweet talk,
friendly persuasion. The greatest religious event in history.
Now let's look at the third verse. Same story from another book.
The book of Luke. Let's again look at the verses just prior to. Luke 17:34.
Luke 17:34 I tell you, in that
night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be
left. Luke 17:26
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage,
until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they
bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
Luke 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from
heaven, and destroyed them all.
Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Luke 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house,
let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not
return back.
Luke 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.
Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose
his life shall preserve it.
Luke 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be
taken, and the other shall be left.
Luke 17:35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other
left.
Luke 17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
The ones taken in the flood, were the ones who
married wives and were given in marriage. Marriage? I thought that was ok with God.
Do a study in Genesis chapter six. The marriages taking place there, certainly
were not approved of, by God.
Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men
that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons
of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same
became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
The sons of God were not ordinary men. They
were fallen angels. Look at Strong's definition of the word (old) in verse four.
Now let's look at another verse used in the (at any time)
doctrine. Yeah, I have personally heard one of the end time super preachers, state
that this next verse, is, the pre-trib rapture. He Stated that
the
falling away, was the rapture.
2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that
day shall not come, except there come a falling[1] away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Let's look at more of the verses.
2 Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by
word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that
day shall not come, except there come a falling[1] away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[1] 646. apostasia, ap-os-tas-ee'-ah; fem. of the
same as G647; defection from truth (prop. the state) ["apostasy"]:--falling away,
forsake.
647. apostasion, ap-os-tas'-ee-on; neut. of a (presumed) adj. from a der. of G868;
prop. something separative, i.e. (spec.)
868. aphistemi, af-is'-tay-mee; from G575 and G2476; to remove, i.e. (act.)
instigate to revolt.; usually (reflex.) to desist, desert, etc.:--depart, draw
(fall) away, refrain, withdraw self.
575. apo, apo'; a prim. particle; "off," i.e. away (from something near), in various
senses (of place, time, or relation; lit. or fig.):--(X here-) after, ago, at,
because of, before, by (the space of), for (-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-) on
(-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation,
departure, cessation, completion, reversal, etc. I did a little research to see how he came up
with the falling away being the rapture. The word he chose for his
definition takes you away
from the subject. He stated that falling away meant, (departure). He said that we would depart
from this earth. Me, I really think he believes that it just means that we will
defect, or depart from the truth, (God's Word). It appears to me that this fellow, like so many
others, is just grasping at anything to get his point across. He traced the
Strong's word from 646 to 575, where he got the word, departure. One of The things I
like about Strong's, is that, if there is more than one meaning, he list them all.
That gives the reader the option to choose the definition that best fits the
subject. One should make sure that the definition fits the
subject, and not what he or she may want it to be. When reading Second Thessalonians chapter two, I feel the subject is very
plain and simple. The subject is about the return of Jesus Christ and our gathering
together unto him. Why would a believer in God's word defect, (fall away), from
truth? They normally wouldn't, but if they had been taught and believed that the
first one coming is Jesus, then they just might.
2 Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is
God.
2 Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2 Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2 Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will
let, until he be taken out of the way.
2 Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the
spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2 Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs
and lying wonders,
2 Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because
they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2 Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie:
2 Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in
unrighteousness.
It appears to me that most pre-tribbers think
that the man of sin, the son of perdition, the antichrist, is just some man who is
possessed by an evil spirit. He will rise to power. Naturally they think he is, of
Satan. Me, I believe him to be Satan himself.
The next verse, some say, this is the rapture.
The church going up to meet Jesus in the air. Without being totally deceived in the
matter, I don't see how anyone could possibly believe that. But, if one knew, he was
deceived, then he wouldn't be. For one to be deceived, he cannot believe, that he is
deceived.
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was
opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking
with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be
hereafter. Rev 4:2 And immediately I was in the
spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
The only one taken anywhere in the above
two verses was John. Not the church.- - - - I, was in the spirit. Not the Church.
Next, is the big verses used in the, (at any time),
doctrine. Better know as the Pre-Trib Rapture.
(1 Th 4:16) For the Lord himself[1] shall descend from
heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump[2]
of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 "HIMSELF": 846. autos, ow-tos'; from the particle au [perh.
akin to the base of G109 through the idea of a baffling wind] (backward); the
reflex. pron. self, used (alone or in the comp. G1438) of the third pers., and (with the
prop. pers. pron.) of the other persons:--her, it (-self), one, the other, (mine) own,
said, ([self-], the) same, ([him-, my-, thy-]) self, [your-] selves, she, that, their
(-s), them ([-selves]), there [-at, -by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with], they, (these)
things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Comp. G848.
2 "TRUMP":
4536. salpigx, sal'-pinx; perh. from G4535 (through the idea of quavering or
reverberation): a trumpet:--trump (-et).
Which trumpet is it? The first, second,
third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh? It is the seventh. The
last trump.
(1 Th 4:17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air[1]: and so shall we ever
be with the Lord.
[1] 109. aer, ah-ayr'; from aemi (to breathe unconsciously,
i.e. respire; by anal. to blow ); "air" (as naturally circumambient): --air.
Comp. G5594.
5594. psucho, psoo'-kho; a prim. verb; to breathe (voluntarily
but gently; thus differing on the one hand from G4154, which denotes prop. a
forcible respiration; and on the other from the base of G109, which refers prop.
to an inanimate breeze), i.e. (by impl. of reduction of temperature by
evaporation) to chill (fig.):--wax cold.
In the Strong's dictionary 109 mentions the word atha and
states, see G3134.
G3134. maran atha, mar'-an ath'-ah; of Chald. or. (mean. our Lord
has come); maranatha, i.e. an exclamation of the approaching divine judgment:--Maran-atha.
Meet the Lord in the air? Who is the prince of the power of the
air? Satan. See Eph 2:2. See Rev 19:14 about the army (I believe to the the clouds)
He brings with him. See Heb 12:1 where Paul describes a cloud as a group of people.
We will meet the Lord in that spiritual body, and we will be as
He is. See 1 Joh
3:2. See Joh 17:15, where Jesus is praying not to take us out of the world.
If people are taken out of this world to be with Jesus, call it
a rapture if you want, that would have to be a resurrection. Note that in Rev. 20:1
thru 5 the first resurrection takes place. Not until Satan is here on this
earth, and is bound for a thousand years. (See below). Here Paul is describing the return
of Jesus to the Thessalonians. See 1Co. 15:52 where he is describing it to the
people of Corinth. Look at Matthew Henry's commentary. He did not mention any thing
similar to what is called a rapture. He lived in the early 1700's and the rapture
theory didn't come about till 1830. As great a scholar as he was, why didn't he see
it? Because it doesn't exist. Note in late 1800's and early 1900's in Schofield's
Commentary Bible, he makes mention of it. He says this is the first
resurrection and that this and 1st. Co 15:52 are the same event. Two great scholars. One before Margaret McDonald and
one after????
In order to understand the meaning of the the word (air) Greek no. 109
one must know the meaning of the word (circumambient). According to Webster's
dictionary (English) it is actually 2 words , circum and ambient. Circum - around,
about, surrounding. Ambient - around and surrounding. they both mean the same thing.
Also the word ambience - an environment or it's distinct atmosphere. distinct - 1
not alike, 2 separate, 3 clearly marked off; plain, 4 unmistakable.
Most all Christians, preachers, teachers, etc. will tell you
that you must have a personal relationship with God. This is true. This is how it's
going to be. It will be a one on one personal thing with Jesus when he returns. It
will be so personal, that for an individual, it will be as close as the air that you
breathe in and out, (inhale and exhale), while you are unconscious. That is very
close and personal. I think this means it's his or her distinct or personal
atmosphere. Satan is the prince of the power of the air (109). Just as God allowed
Satan to test Job, (got real close in his air space), he allows Satan to be in your
air space to. With one major difference of course, God invited Satan to trouble Job.
Just hope God doesn't do that with you. In all cases that I have heard the word
ambient used, it has been in regard to temperature, ambient temperature, meaning the
temperature just around you or the ambient temperature of a room, etc. Note Greek no.
5594.
The scriptures used by the pre-tribbers for
the (at any time) doctrine, to me will not support their claim.
The first Resurrection.
Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the
key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and
Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him,
that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:
and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them:
and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the
word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had
received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned
with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were
finished. This is the first resurrection.
The angel came down from Heaven and bound Satan. Down where?
Here on good ole earth. I agree that First Thessalonians 4:16 - 17 is the same event
as First Corinthians 15:52. And that it is the first resurrection. But these verses
here in Revelation makes it clear that it all doesn't happen until Satan is bound,
or they all happen at the same time.
Let's look at 1st. Corinthians 15:50 through 15:52.
1 Cor 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood
cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be
changed,
1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:
for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed.
Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded[1]; and there
were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms
of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
[1] 4537. salpizo, sal-pid'-zo; from G4536; to trumpet, i.e.
sound a blast (lit. or fig.):--(which are yet to) sound (a trumpet).
1 Cor. 15:50. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the
kingdom of God. Rev 11:15. The kingdoms of this world are become
the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ
Read verses prior to Revelation 11:15 to find that this doesn't
take place, till after the two witnesses are murdered by Satan, and lie in the
streets of Jerusalem for three and one half days.
Always remember who Satan is after. The
next verse tells us.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the
remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus
Christ.
Always remember who Satan is after. The
next verse tells us.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the
remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus
Christ.
I keep repeating the above verse for emphasis.
If God's people are already
gone to meet Jesus, who is the remnant of her seed, who have the
testimony of Jesus Christ? I figure the remnant is God's people. They're
still here. That's who Satan, (the dragon), is after. Satan will be here before the
real Christ. We had better keep our Gospel Armor on.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was
cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the
earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
2 Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them
strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
For the whole world to be
deceived, everyone, or most everyone, will believe a lie. Not a
lot of lies. Not two lies. One particular lie.
The (at any time) lie.
2 Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by
any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a
falling[1] away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the
son of perdition; [1] 646.
apostasia, ap-os-tas-ee'-ah; fem. of the same as G647;
defection from truth (prop. the state)
["apostasy"]:--falling away, forsake.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy
truth: thy word is truth.
God's Word is Truth. For
someone to defect from truth, or forsake truth, he or she must
have been in the truth.
Always remember who Satan is after. The
next verse tells us.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the
remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus
Christ.
Satan is coming after God's
people. He already has the rest of the world. Satan will use
whomever he can, in order to accomplish his task. He will be,
and is now, working right in our Christian Churches. He lied to
Jesus, (God in the flesh). He'll lie to you to. It'll be a sweet
lie. He wants us to think Jesus is coming first. Why? Because
Satan himself is coming first. He tried to bribe Jesus, (God in the flesh). He'll try to
bribe you to.
Let's look at two verses From Romans.
Rom 9:32 Wherefore? Because they
sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For
they stumbled[1] at that stumblingstone[2];
[1] 4350. proskopto,
pros-kop'-to; from G4314 and G2875; to strike at, i.e. surge
against (as water); spec. to stub on, i.e. trip up (lit. or
fig.):--beat upon, dash, stumble (at).
Now let's look at Luke 4:11.
Luke 4:11 And in their hands they
shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash[1] thy
foot against a stone.
[1] 4350. proskopto,
pros-kop'-to; from G4314 and G2875; to strike at, i.e. surge
against (as water); spec. to stub on, i.e. trip up
(lit. or fig.):--beat upon, dash, stumble (at).
The word stumbled, in Romans 9:32, and the
word, dash in Luke 4:11, are the same Greek word.
Rom 9:33 As it is written, Behold,
I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence:
and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Jesus is our Rock. Believe
on Him and you wont be ashamed. Just before the end, the problem
is, for some, Satan arrives, claiming to be Jesus. Some will
stumble over that. Believing that Christ, could come (at any
time), will trip up a lot of souls.
Jesus comes at the seventh trump. The
last trump.
There are only seven.
Trumps or Trumpets
1 2
3 4 5
6 7
Satan would just l-o-v-e for us to start putting
the number 7
anywhere, except where it is. He knows, he'll be here in the
6th. trump. He just don't want us to know that.
Mark 13:13
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake:
but he that shall
endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Well, there's one, two,
three, four, five, six, seven. One is the start. Seven is
the end. I believe that's the way it was when I was in
school. Uh, maybe it was 1, 2 3, 4, 5, 7, 6. Or, maybe it
was 1, 2, 3, 4, 7,5, 6. Hmm. - - - No maybe about it. We
can all, count to seven.
I've heard, and saw, on TV, another end time
super preacher, make a statement something like this. And oh
yes, while he
was making the statement, he also made some little weird feet
and leg gyrations, along with some fast hand and arm movements. I guess to impress the
congregation. Again, the statement went something like this. "When
that trumpet of God sounds, and the rapture comes, Scha-zaam,
I'm outa h-e-r-e. R-i-g-h-t through the Stratosphere".
Did you ever wonder what God thinks, of someone flying, to save
their soul? Let's look at Ezekiel chapter thirteen. Start at
verse Seventeen.
Ezek 13:17 Likewise, thou son of
man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which
prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
Ezek 13:18 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that
sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of
every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people,
and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
Ezek 13:19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of
barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not
die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying
to my people that hear your lies?
Ezek 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against
your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them
fly[1], and I will tear them from your arms, and will let
the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
[1] 6524. parach, paw-rakh'; a
prim. root; to break forth as a bud, i.e. bloom; gen. to spread;
spec. to fly (as extending the wings); fig. to
flourish:-- X abroad, X abundantly, blossom, break forth (out),
bud, flourish, make fly, grow, spread, spring (up).
Ezek 13:21 Your kerchiefs also
will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall
be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am
the LORD.
Ezek 13:22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous
sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the
wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising
him life:
God always says things
best. I think I'll stop now.
Thanks, for allowing
me, to share this with you. Remember, to always, study to show thyself approved unto
God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto
more ungodliness.
In His Word,
